What advantages does outsourcing my bookkeeping give me?

Cost savings – you no longer have to employ a bookkeeper saving on sick & holiday leave, superannuation, workers compensation insurance.
Free up use of a computer/printer/desk & savings on electricity, stationery etc.
If your accountant is currently lodging your BAS then we will provide the same service but at a fraction of the cost.

Time savings
– you don’t have to be available at the time they are. If you’ve been doing the bookkeeping yourself then it’s probably been at the cost of time you could have spent doing your job (where you make the money) or leisure time (eg sleep!!!)

How does it work?

Firstly we would need to obtain your source documents. This can be done by you scanning and emailing the information or faxing it to us. Alternatively you can drop it into our office or we can arrange for collection by courier.
We can arrange to have your bank statement information automatically downloaded each time a statement is issued & therefore eradicate the problem of lost statements.
We then enter the data and return your documents to you along with any reports you have requested.


How do I keep control of my bookkeeping when it’s outsourced?

You will actually find that you have more control. As the financial information is professionally input, it will be up to date and accurate. You will be able to access this information 24/7. The ownership of your books remains with you.


Am I too small to use Bookkeeping Made Simple

No business is too small. We deal with sole traders and small businesses all the time. So whether your turnover is $50,000 to $5,000,000 we can help you!


How secure is my information?

If you choose to have your MYOB product hosted on the web, access is made by secure remote connection.


Do I have to change/leave my current accountant

No – If you are happy with your current accountant then we will liaise with them providing all information they require to complete your tax returns. However we are closely associated with Brown Charman Shaw Chartered Accountants and would be happy to provide you with an introduction.


How much will it cost?

How do I get access to my financial information?

You will always have access to your MYOB file whether it is at your office or hosted on the Web. We will provide you with up to date reports every month/quarter/year. You can also request any additional information at any time 24/7.


Aren’t all bookkeepers the same? Why should I choose you?

Absolutely not. Some examples of “bad” bookkeeping that we have been called in to fix include the following:

  1. Not setting up MYOB correctly so that some expenses are put through without claiming the GST
  2. Not setting up Payroll correctly so that PAYG & Superannuation is being over paid.
