Bookkeeping Made Simple was established by Elizabeth Charman, Chartered Accountant in 2010.
It was born from the idea that there was a need for a qualified and professional bookkeeping service that could provide services at much cheaper rates than her Chartered Accountancy firm, Brown Charman Shaw located in Chatswood.
Along with her husband Rod, they formed this boutique bookkeeping service located in Hornsby primarily aimed at sole traders and small to medium businesses on the Upper North Shore of Sydney.

Originally trained with NAB as a graduate from Macquarie University. After working there for 10 years and taking on various Business Banking Management roles, Elizabeth left the corporate world and took up various positions in small Chartered Accountancy firms both in the Sydney CBD and in Hornsby. Having completed her Post Graduate Diploma and gaining her status as a Chartered Accountant, she joined forces with Vicki Brown, Chartered Accountant, forming the company Brown Charman Shaw Pty Ltd in Chatswood. Now a co-director of both Brown Charman Shaw and Bookkeeping Made Simple, Elizabeth brings her wealth of knowledge & experience in the tax and finance world to assist small business people from all industries.
Rodney Charman - Dip. Business
After completing 20 years of work with NAB in both private and business banking as a manager, Rod decided on a career change. The opportunity of using his administration and finance skills in small business was perfect timing for the establishment of Bookkeeping Made Simple. Rod brings to the business immense experience gained in dealing with many different types of office systems and client types.
